Third generation Pitmaster, Kevin McFarland, brings the excellent flavors of his award-winning BBQ to this year’s Best in the West Rib Cook Off with his Git-R-Smoked competition team winning 4th place in this International competition.
Git-R-Smoked has won numerous awards across the Western United States, including 2022 1st Place Best RIBS at the Nugget Rib Cook Off and a 1st place Best Ribs win at the 2019 Great San Juan Bautista Rib Competition.
Kevin and his team have turned their passion for the best BBQ into a successful Northern Nevada BBQ catering company.

Teams compete in Chicken, Pork Ribs, and Beef Brisket. The key ingredients that each team member utilizes to create masterpiece meats that have won numerous competitions and are consistent winners of people's choice awards throughout Nevada and California.
This is often the same team that helps during our larger catering events and gets great satisfaction in sharing their passion for BBQ.
